The Darkness Has A Purpose
The Darkness Has A Purpose
Every single problem, difficult situation, or “painful dark entity within” carries the seed of opportunity for a greater purpose and greater benefit.
It’s a choice to believe
If you do not believe that there is a purpose to pain and suffering, then the purpose cannot reveal itself to you. That’s how powerful our belief system is. There will be no purpose because you declare there is none. On the contrary, if there is a purpose, there will be a purpose, because we trust and believe that it will be revealed to us.
There’s Way More Than Meets The Eye
Humorist Richard Armour said, “hindsight is always 20/20,” meaning it’s not always obvious to us at the time, but afterwards, the meaning becomes more clear. If you were to draw a time-line of your life thus far, and map out the most painful experiences, what life lessons did you discover from each one? In what ways did these sh*tty experiences make you stronger, more prepared, etc?
The material world is just the surface level, and it conceals many layers that we cannot see. If you were to just look at an orange, you may not realize there’s something inside that tastes a lot better than the bitter exterior. Same goes with our darkness — all situations, especially the painful ones contain light, and we gotta peel back the layers to reach the juice, this is a choice, and the light is ours to extract.
Questions to ask yourself:
What can I learn from this experience?
Why is this happening, and what is the message the universe is giving me?
How can I make this sh*tty experience useful to others around me?
By accepting the darkness, you can heal and transform it
Embrace the darkness, that doesn’t mean use it — We embrace it as if it were a dear friend, which is paradoxical, I know, but when we relate to to our darkness with curiosity and care, rather than disgust and neglect, we are able to transform it and reveal the purpose — this is the way out.
